Billing & Pricing
Partner billing is a monthly base fee that includes a fixed number of domains, plus a metered per-domain charge for every domain above that allotment. Billing is consolidated across all your customers, and your customers never see it.
How the bill is calculated
Base fee + (overage rate × domains above the included allotment). The billable count is the number of active domains across every customer organization in your partner account — those that received at least one DMARC report in the last 30 days.
What counts as a billable domain
Counted
- Every domain in every customer organization
- Domains that have never received a DMARC report
- Domains you added but have not finished configuring
- Each subdomain you enroll as its own domain record
Not counted
- Domains in your own partner organization (only child customer organizations are counted)
- Domains you have deleted — removed at the next daily usage sync
There is no "inactive domain" discount. If a domain record exists under a customer, it is billable. Delete domains you are no longer managing.

Billing mechanics
Cycle & metering
- Monthly Stripe subscription, anchored to your signup date
- Two line items: flat base fee + metered overage
- Domain count reported to Stripe daily at 05:00 UTC
- Meter uses last-value aggregation, so the latest count wins
- No trial period — the first charge is at checkout
Payment
- Credit or debit card via Stripe Checkout
- Charged automatically each cycle — no manual invoices to pay
- Update the card, view Stripe invoices or cancel from the Stripe customer portal
- Reach the portal from Settings → Billing in your dashboard
Consolidated usage view
One account, all customers
All customer domains roll up into a single subscription. Under Partner → Billingyou can download a usage invoice as an HTML document and review the per-customer breakdown behind it. That document is DDMARC's calculation of your usage — the invoice you are actually charged against is the one Stripe issues, available in the Stripe customer portal.
- • Total domain count for the period
- • Base line and overage line
- • Per-customer domain breakdown
- • Per-customer usage table
- • 12-month billing history
- • Per-customer domain-cap controls
Monitor your usage
Track your domain count and current cost from Partner → Billing (/dashboard/msp/billing). The page opens on four summary tiles:
Frequently Asked Questions
When am I billed?
On your Stripe subscription cycle, which is anchored to the day you subscribed — not the 1st of the month. Your subscription has two line items: the flat monthly base fee and a metered overage item. Stripe charges the card on file automatically.
How are domains counted?
We count the active domains across every customer organization under your partner account. A domain is active for a month if it received at least one DMARC report in the last 30 days — a domain you have enrolled but that has never received a report does not count until it does. There is no subdomain rollup: each subdomain you enroll is counted as its own domain once it is active.
How often is usage reported?
A scheduled job reports your total domain count to Stripe once a day at 05:00 UTC. The Stripe meter uses last-value aggregation, so the most recent daily report is what you are billed on for that period.
What if a customer leaves?
Delete the customer (or their domains) and the count drops on the next daily usage sync — within about 24 hours, not at the next billing cycle. Because the meter uses last-value aggregation, the reduced count is what gets invoiced.
Is there a minimum?
Yes. The monthly base fee applies whether you have zero domains or the full included allotment. Partner is $299/mo and Partner Starter is $99/mo before any overage.
Can I switch between Partner and Partner Starter?
Yes — switching changes both the base fee and the overage rate. Manage the subscription through the Stripe customer portal, reachable from Settings → Billing in your dashboard.
Do customers see pricing?
No. The white-label customer portal has no billing surface at all. What you charge your customers is entirely between you and them.
